ECV Volunteer & Internship Program Details

El Centro Verde provides an excellent opportunity to combine work, study and adventure, close to the beach. ECV volunteers and interns are immersed in the daily activities of small farm life in the tropics. Volunteers/interns have the opportunity to participate in ongoing projects at ECV including:

  • image30Plant propagation
  • Gardening & Nursery work
  • Erosion Control
  • Reforestation
  • Permaculture Design
  • Soil Fertility & Enhancement

Additionally, interns may develop projects related to their individual areas of interest which are congruent with ECV’s mission. Independent study credits may be arranged.

During downtime, ECV volunteers/interns are free to enjoy area activities at their own cost. Activities include snorkelling, surfing, horseback riding, zip-line canopy and sea turtle nesting tours.

Depending on timing and availability, participants may have the opportunity to work with ECV partner organizations such as Restoring Our Watershed or VerdiAzul, a local sea turtle project.
